I think your outlier article got so much engagement because it was something that related to pretty much all of us. Perhaps I'm not interested in banter (though I personally did read that article!) but I AM a writer and therefore...

It seems that things most people can relate to, rather than simply things people are interested in, generate most engagement.

And before I do my usual thing and forget social niceties - well done on a successful month!

Thanks so much TN, for reading and your continued support 🙌

I do think you're right, the article resonated because we're all writers and maybe some people were curious, so they gave it a read. Now, I don't know if I'm going to be able to write something that surpasses it 😅

Thanks :)

I think this will be the last numbers article though.

Thanks for the mention! Also, those are some impressive numbers: 33.09% open rate, some people arriving from searches. 👍

Thanks so much Joe! I loved your last flash fiction, btw. It was very funny.

We got to get the traveling puppet show up and running.

Also, I only have like 60 views on most of my articles. :( SIX-HUNDRED views? What's that like?

I'm learning scriptwriting to better my dialogue and so we can get it up running 💪

Yeah, I didn't expect 600 views, I'm still studying it, but I think people here in the comments are right when they say that it did well because it related to most of us (as writers).

Don’t worry, I have twelve years’ experience improving with my stuffed animals (references: my kids). lol

Thank you for sharing your growth with us. I'm going to miss your Substack wrap-ups, but I'm also looking forward to reading your newer types of wrap-ups (along with your regular articles, of course ☺️).

I'm happy that you started sooner instead of waiting until October. You've grown so much these past months, and you've given us such valuable articles. Like you said, we should start sooner rather than later if we've decided to start anyway.

Thanks as always for your encouragement 🙏. It means a lot and I really appreciate it you. I'm very glad you have enjoyed my commentary and info on these articles and the information on the craft ones. Glad to have you back! I know you often don't have a lot of time to hang out but happy seeing your articles roll in.

Thank you for your kind words. I try to hang out here a lot, but at the end of the day Substack is a social media platform, and I don't want to get sucked in too much. I appreciate your understanding 🫶🏽
